Manganese Compounds

Organic manganese compounds are used in some pesticides, fertilizers, and in a gasoline additive called methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl. Manganese is an essential trace element and its concentrations are highest in tissues rich in mitochondria, where it forms stable complexes with ATP and inorganic phosphate.
